Our Baptism gatherings are a time for spiritual growth, public confession of faith, and CELEBRATION! And when we say celebration, we mean it! It's a party! We will cheer you on when you take your first step of obedience in your new found, or re-committed, faith. If you are uncertain about being baptized at this time, we still encourage you to attend, giving you an opportunity to hear first-hand from Pastor Bill the biblical reasons for baptism and celebrate with those who God has led to take this step.
At Rock Point Church, we do not require you to register in advance to be baptized. You are welcome to simply show up and participate. Furthermore, Rock Point affirms "Believer Baptism," meaning a person of your choosing, not just one our Pastors, can baptize you.
Our Baptism Celebrations take place on Sunday afternoons, several times a year, at the home of Dave & Teri Rope. Females, please wear a modest swimsuit with a dark colored t-shirt and modest shorts. Males, please wear a modest swimsuit or shorts and a dark colored t-shirt. Please bring a towel and a change of clothes.
